About The Author

author A.W.Metcalfe was born in the Yorkshire Dales, a beautiful corner of England characterized by historic villages, emerald fields, dry-stone walls and cold, clear streams. The local characters were dairy cows, hedgehogs and the occasional hard-working farm dog.
The McLittles is a series of books inspired by his rich memories of the outdoors and the exciting adventures that could be had by children in those simpler times.
The author spent much of his career in the advertising business, living in cities as diverse as Melbourne; Sydney; Auckland; Hong Kong; Shanghai; Beijing and New York. More recently, a country home in Connecticut has taken him back to the outdoors he loves so much, providing fresh inspiration for new stories.
